Nowadays people are interested in getting more attention by doing anything different. Everybody wanted to be different from others. Not only actors, writers in the media industry are also doing the same.

People writing herbal articles in the internet are also writing about a rare herbal which is very hard to collect or talking about a rare disease which can be cured by a usual herbal. So, these kind of remedies cannot be implemented by most of us.

We all know about Aala Maram or Banyan Tree which could be a landmark in most of our villages. Banyan tree could also be available in most of our ancient temples. Parts of the tree can be used as a herbal remedy for many diseases.

Long lasting Diarrhoea can be treated by consuming leaves choorna of the tree. Its bark kashayam is considered as effective in reducing diabetes. The milky juice of the tree can be used treat cracks and inflamed soles of the feet.

It is said in ancient tamil texts as "Aalum Velum Pallukkuruthi" means both Banyan and Neem are best to save and increase the strength of our teeth. Though it is said, it is impractical for everybody to use neem sticks and banyan roots to use as tooth brush. But we can use powdered roots of Banyan tree along with our tooth powder or paste.

Banyan leaves powder is considered as increasing our immunity. In Punjab, roots fibre were given for treating gonorrhoea. As the leaves and bark contains many anti microbial elements, it is considered washing outer vagina with the Banyan leaves soaked water to get rid of Leucorrhoea.
